Making it Work
Making it Work was a five-year project (2017–2022), funded by City Bridge Trust, which aimed to improve young Disabled people’s chances of finding employment and to remove barriers in the workplace.
Inclusion London worked in partnership with several Deaf and Disabled People’s Organisations (DDPOs) across London. We aimed to build DDPOs’ capacity to deliver employment support, using rights-based and social model approaches. We wanted to challenge old ideas about Disabled people and employment, test new models and support changes to policy and practice.
We have developed a set of employment-related resources for DDPOs, Disabled people and employers, on various subjects, including Visioning future employment support for Disabled people, Peer Support, Zoom and internet safety, Employment rights and discrimination, and Employment support.
