Visioning future employment support for Disabled People
This resource is a ‘vision’ document about what excellent employment support for Disabled people looks like.
We hope it will inform future funding applications by DDPOs, support service development and promote partnership working across the sector. It was written at the end of the Making it Work project, in collaboration with Action on Disability (AoD), Disability Advice Service Lambeth (DASL), and Camden Disability Action (CDA). It focuses on the importance of DDPOs’ holistic approach to delivering employment support (including empowerment and peer support work, personalised support and work with employers). It also highlights the additional social value that DDPOs bring to service delivery, making DDPOs different, unique and best placed to deliver empowering employment support services for Disabled people.
