Disability and Housing Project

In 2022 Inclusion London launched a two-year Disability and Housing Project designed to build the capacity of Deaf and Disabled People’s Organisations (DDPOs) across London to effectively campaign for accessible and affordable housing and wider housing policy changes.

To build the knowledge and the skills of DDPOs, Inclusion London has created a Housing Network which brings together user-led organisations running housing campaigns and/or delivering housing advice to Deaf and Disabled people, and grassroots housing groups and coalitions, all working to improve the lives of people living in social housing and the private rented sector.

Through the network we share legal, policy and campaigning housing resources with DDPOs which they can use to protect Disabled people’s rights under Housing and Equality legislation and campaign to improve the provision of housing for Deaf and Disabled people in London.

As part of this project, we also have funded 3 DDPOs which will be supported to run specific housing campaigns in London.
