About this organisation

Our founding philosophy at Shape is that all disabled people should have the opportunity to participate fully in arts and culture. We promote great art and inclusive practices, knowledge and learning to ensure that disabled people have active and influential roles in arts and culture – as leaders, artists, participants and audiences. We work with arts and cultural sector organisations towards promoting greater accessibility and inclusion – opening talent and audience pathways. We also provide opportunities and support for disabled artists and disabled people who want to work in the cultural sector as well as young disabled people aged between 14-29 who want to develop and progress their career in the creative and cultural industries in the capital. Our Pop-Up gallery in Westfield Stratford as a unique creative space and hub for people of all backgrounds developing creative careers and projects a positive perception of what disability is and can be.
