About this organisation

DABD (uk) provide a consistent high quality, friendly & accessible service to all those who use our services. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity for personal development to achieve their full potential in order to live their life as independently as possible and of their choosing.
Our objectives: the relief of individuals (primarily with impairment) living in the UK, in particular by provision of any facilities to enable them to achieve greater economic, social, educational & physical mobility through personal development, provision of second tier advice & support to organisations that have similar aims to our own.
We believe that all excluded people should: be able to influence local decision making, have choice in the way they live & work, have inclusive, independent access to living, have facilities & be facilitated to have access within the community. Services include: Welfare Benefits (free, comprehensive & confidential advice), Training, Employment, Transport (door to door), Dial a Wheelchair, Volunteering, Personalisation (direct payments/personal budgets advice & help to understand how to access the service), Personalcare Services Adults & Young People (provides an holistic & professional service), Travel Training (supports young people with special educational needs to travel to/from their place of education), Young Peoples Services (Ofsted registered YP services provides an integrated provision for YP), Equipment, ReUse/Recylcing Centre.
