The Peer Network Meeting is open to all individuals who deliver advice within a DDPO
The quarterly Strengthening Voices, Realising Rights (SVRR) Peer Network Meeting will enable your advice staff to share experiences, issues and information and receive legal briefings.
At this meeting:
- Svetlana will deliver a legal briefing on the Mental Capacity Act. This briefing will look at key concepts in the Mental Capacity Act, such as: what is capacity and why it is important, Legal test for capacity, what happens if a person does not have capacity to make a decision and how to challenge decisions about capacity. This will be a short briefing giving a general overview.
- Jon will facilitate discussions on current advice issues emerging from DDPOs; and what options DDPOs have, for influencing and campaigning on these issues.
