IMPORTANT UPDATE

Following the latest government advice regarding Covid-19, this meeting will no longer be taking place in person. However, we will be holding the meeting remotely via a Zoom conference call which will be taking place over 2 days:

Wednesday 22 April     10.30 – 13.30

Thursday 23 April       12.45 – 17.00.

DAY 1 – APRIL 22nd

10:30 – Welcome and Ground Rules

10:45 – Regional Updates and Campaign Exchange

  • Hear from DPOs from across England, impairment and intersectional groups, and strategic campaigns about their priorities and campaigns!

12:00 – Reflections on the Regional Updates and Campaign Exchange

  • What can we learn from them? What are the themes? Anything missing?
  • What do we want to do around regional networking?

13:00 – Decision on Campaign Planning Session Topics

  • Campaign sessions and timings will be sent out overnight to all registered attendees.

13:30 – Close of Day 1

DAY 2 – APRIL 23rd

12:45 – Introduction to Day 2 and Recap of Day 1

13:00 – 15:50 – Campaign Planning Session

  • Timings of each session and which topics have been chosen on Day 1 will be sent out overnight. Please come to as many or few as you wish!

15:50 – Break

16:00 – Feedback

  • One person per campaign session feeds back to the rest of the conference.

16:45 – Closing Remarks

About the event

Join Reclaiming Our Futures Alliance (ROFA) for our Annual national conference where we will be discussing “Post election: what now? Planning the future for our movement and campaigns”.

We will be sharing and coordinating campaigns and common issues we need to address and we want to hear from you! The conference is open to all members of Reclaiming Our Futures Alliance and to Deaf and Disabled led organisations and campaigns groups and networks who are interested in working together to protect and advance our equality and inclusion.

About ROFA:

Reclaiming Our Futures Alliance (ROFA) is an alliance of Disabled People and their organisations ’s (DDPOs) in England who have joined together to defend disabled people’s rights and campaign for an inclusive society. ROFA fights for equality for disabled people in England and works with sister organisations across the UK in the tradition of the international disability movement. We base our work on the social model of disability, human and civil rights in line with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD).
