Developing Deaf and Disabled Leaders of the Future – Learning Event

Hear from participants in our leadership programme and learn about new ways to design and lead change

IMPORTANT NOTICE – due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation this event will most likely take place online via zoom. We will update this page and email participants if this changes.

About the event

We are holding a learning event to share learning from our leadership development programme funded by National Lottery Community Fund. DDPOs face significant challenges in “bringing on” new Deaf and Disabled leaders or accessing leadership development programmes that are accessible and right for DDPOs. We have been trialling a completely different kind of leadership programme using “human centred design” theories and techniques to support participants to identify their own leadership development goals and work practically on leading a change (with coaching and training). It’s been an incredible 18months, with our leaders taking forward some ambitious change programmes despite the challenges of COVID, and achieving personal growth along the way. Come and hear from some them about what they gained from the programme and what it has taught us about the most effective way of supporting Deaf and Disabled leaders to develop and thrive.
