About the training
DDPOs are already led by Deaf or Disabled people, but do you want to improve the way that you get your members and service users involved in planning and designing your services, and in taking decisions in the organisation? This masterclass will introduce you to creative and interesting techniques for giving Deaf and Disabled people in all areas of your organisation more choice and control over service design and decision making.
About the trainer
This training is being delivered by Alex Hendra who is an expert in providing business and finance development support to DDPOs with 17 years’ experience in CEO or senior management roles in the charity sector. She has a particular interest and experience in user led design techniques.
What you will learn
By the end of the masterclass, you will:
- Understand some of the theories behind getting people across organisations more involved in decision making and design of services
- Learned some creative and fun techniques for engaging people in design and decision making
This event is relevant for any staff or trustees within London’s Deaf and Disabled People’s Organisations, but has particular relevance for people who have responsibility for service design and development, strategic planning, user/member engagement, delivery or development of peer support services.
Note: Places are limited so we are currently restricting places to 1 person per organisation.
