Bid writing skills for funding success

A full day, face to face training session for DDPOs wanting to improve the way you find possible funders and write successful funding applications

This session will help you understand how to find funders who are likely to be interested in your organisation, the impacts you are trying to achieve and your specific funding needs: both for specific projects and services and for wider organisational costs.

We will give you practical tips on avoiding common pitfalls and developing your skills and confidence in writing strong bids.

Who is the training for:

Bookings for this training are open to Deaf and Disabled People’s Organisations (DDPOs). It is suitable for all staff responsible for fundraising for the organisation.

The aims of the training are to help you:

  • Be more able to match potential funders to your funding needs
  • Explore practical tips for increasing your bid success
  • Understand some common pitfalls that result in bid failure
  • Be more confident about writing bids to funders
  • Identify further training and support you might need in preparing successful bids

Please note that we can only offer one place for each DDPO

Deaf and Disabled People Organisations (DDPOs) are organisations that are run and controlled by Deaf/Disabled people, with Deaf/Disabled people representing at least 75% of Trustees and over 50% of paid staff.
