Who is the course for?

This course is aimed at those with some experience of Disability Living Allowance (DLA) and Attendance Allowance (AA) who want to develop their skills further.

Please note: maximum 20 places, these will initially be offered to people who are part of the SVRR project.

Course Outline

  • identifying a claimant’s initial eligibility for both DLA and AA
  • understanding the eligibility criteria’s for both DLA and AA
  • filling out forms – hints, tips and evidence; and
  • how to navigate any appeals processes.

There will be exercises and scenarios within the presentation to help attendees to apply the knowledge they have just learned to real world circumstances. Any COVID-19 updates will be applied.

About the trainer

This training will be given by Richard Conway, Welfare Benefits Adviser, Disability Law Service.
