Trust for London

The SVRR project is funded by Trust for London from April 2018 to March 2024.

As part of this project, the Trust funds a number of Deaf and Disabled People’s Organisations (DDPOs) to assist them to increase their capacity to deliver information, advice and advocacy to Deaf and Disabled residents.

Action Disability Kensington & Chelsea
Disability Advice Service Lambeth
Inclusion Barnet
Merton Centre for Independent Living
Ruils
Stay Safe East

The Trust also funds Inclusion London to support these DDPOs and a broader DDPO network where appropriate, to equip them with the practical skills, training, peer support and resources they need to improve and strengthen their advice provision.

The Inclusion London support includes: commissioning regular training sessions for front line advisers addressing a range of social welfare topics; hosting a quarterly Peer Network Meeting where front line advisers, advice managers and CEOs can share issues that are important to them; providing legal briefings covering a range of subjects; providing casework support, particularly in relation to social care and housing issues; promoting relevant resources; linking DDPOs with campaigns relevant to their advice provision and liaising with the broader advice sector to ensure they are aware of the advice work undertaken by DDPOs and address our needs when developing services.

Many of the training courses on offer are only available to workers from an SVRR organisation – please check each event listing before signing up.
