Access to Work

Offers financial support to employees for reasonable adjustments at work

Disability Arts Online have produced videos and Easy Read guidance that explain Access to Work and how to apply. These were developed for the arts and cultural sector but are just as relevant to other DDPOs. Guides are available for employees and employers

 

Remploy

Workplace Mental Health Support Service. Support for employees and advice and guidance for employers to support people with a mental health condition in employment

HR advice and peer support:

Cranfield Trust

Contact: 01794 830338. Free-to-join online community of voluntary sector people working on HR issues. Can post queries and get advice on issues

Vistage

CEO support groups. Charities offered a discount of half the monthly fee. The full fee is £465/month.

 

Legal HR Advice:

General Legal Advice Bulletins:

Sandy Adirondack (freelance consultant with specialism in legal aspects of voluntary sector governance and management) produces a regular email update of legal advice for voluntary sector organisations. You can sign up by sending an email to legalupdate@sandy-a.co.uk. Updates are free (Sandy asks for a small voluntary contribution).

The Employment Law Mailing List delivers email bulletins containing new legislation and important employment law cases as soon as they come out. It is free to join and all emails contain an ‘unsubscribe’ link. Typically two or three emails are sent out each week.
