This year UK Disability History Month runs from 16th November to 16th December. The theme is Disability, Children and Youth. The history of the mistreatment and prejudice towards disabled children and young people is examined. Solutions to the ongoing issues are discussed for education and social care staff. Many activities are presented in ways children of different ages can relate to.

Launch

The launch will take place on Thursday November 16th, 6.30 – 8.30pm, in person and on-line. To attend please RSVP to martha@worldofinclusion.com. Please say whether you will be attending in-person or online. We will send a zoom link later.

The website has many  resources https://ukdhm.org/ including a history and time line activity, examining the oral history of Disability, Children and Young people in the first and second half of the 20th century. It examines the history of the education of disabled children from segregation to inclusion, with filmed examples of inclusion working and responding to disability bullying.
