Help us to put violence against disabled women on the national policy agenda.

Stay Safe East is a leading user-led Disabled People’s Organisation which supports disabled victims of domestic abuse, sexual violence, hate crime and other forms of abuse.

We have been funded by the Home Office Disabled Victims Fund to work on policy and practice change and are looking for a Policy Officer to help with this work. You will have policy experience on disability or violence against women and girls, be able to work at national strategic level and produce clear, accessible information about policy and practice issues. You must be a passionate advocate for the rights of disabled survivors, and be able to work from a social model, feminist and intersectional perspective. The post will also involve consulting with our clients, 85% of whom are disabled women.

Stay Safe East has a positive policy on employing disabled people. We particularly welcome applications for this post from disabled women who reflect London’s diverse communities of faith, sexuality and ethnicity.
