Both lifts at Brixton Tube station will be replaced in order to improve their reliability. The modernisation work means that step-free access will be temporarily unavailable from Monday 12 February until August. Press release from Transport for London (TfL).
Why don’t Disabled people who have the same access needs swap houses for holidays, rather than rely on unreliable, expensive, and often inaccessible hotel accommodation? If I can get around my house in my wheelchair, then another person who uses a similar wheelchair will also be able to use my house.
Lewisham Speaking Up, the advocacy project for and led by people with learning disabilities, is looking for sessional Self-Advocacy Supporters to join our bank of workers – mainly to work at our People’s Parliament Events, which take place every three months.

They will use these when they question the UK Government. Please send your evidence to Sisters of Frida, or go to one of the consultations before February 28th.
