Learning and Development Trainer

As British Sign Language is our first language, you will be a deaf person or someone with BSL skills up to Level 4. It is very important you have lived deaf experience. More than three quarters of our staff are deaf. You will use British Sign Language in presentation, delivery and your materials.

The role

You will be required to travel away from home to visit our services and teams, many of whom work in Residential care homes across England. You will also need to attend meetings and events outside of your front door.

You will work very closely with the Digital Learning and Content Designer, supporting the design of accessible learning material.

You will deliver a range of blended training solutions across a range of training categories.

Broadly speaking, these fall into the following categories;

CQC Adult Socials Care regulations and compliance
Technical Knowledge
Soft Skills
Training background & experience

We will expect you to understand the learning cycle, learning styles and follow a training framework when planning and delivery training.

Creative in your approach, we encourage innovation and new ways to help people learn and would expect to see this in your work.

Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years training experience in learning and development and it would be even better if that experience included working in Adult Social Care, a CQC regulated setting or a Disability Organisation.
