Freelance peer trainer

Inclusion Barnet need an occasional freelance peer trainer in mental health

Would you like to deliver training on behalf of a Deaf and Disabled People’s Organisation? Are you an experienced peer trainer in mental health?

Inclusion Barnet needs an occasional freelance trainer with reasonable flexibility in their diary to help them deliver their Enablement contract for Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health Trust. The trainer needs to be prepared to work in any of these three boroughs.

This is a freelance role suitable for an experienced trainer with a sound understanding of peer work and lived experience of mental health issues. All training delivered will need to take account of the social model of disability as well as the needs of peer workers delivering within an NHS environment.

Our likely need is between 10 and 20 days per year, although this may increase over time. Training to be delivered includes a 6 day induction course for new peer workers and ‘Preparing for Peer’ workshops for ward teams.

To apply, please submit your current CV plus a covering letter explaining:

  • your experience of delivering training
  • your understanding of peer support
  • your approach to using your own lived experience in your work

Apply online:

We look forward to hearing from you.

Salary: £150.00 /day

Experience: training: 1 year (Preferred)
