£48,000 – £50,000 per annum depending on experience

Inclusion London is looking to recruit a Director of Services and Development, to strategically lead and develop our range of capacity building services to our member organisations run by and for Deaf and Disabled people.

Inclusion London is a leading disability equality organisation run by and for Deaf and Disabled people. We have built a national reputation for effective policy and campaign work and for providing innovative business and organisational support to Deaf and Disabled people’s organisations (DDPOs) in London. Our mission is nothing less than full equality and inclusion for Deaf and Disabled people with our communities leading the change we need to see.

DDPOs protect and uphold Disabled people’s rights, campaign for equality and inclusion and provide a range of peer-led accessible services that support Disabled people to access services and entitlements, challenge discrimination and exclusion and have choice, control and independence.

For this crucial role we are looking for a dedicated candidate with senior manager experience of delivering effective, engaging and accessible business, organisational and financial advice and training to grassroots organisations and successfully managing complex projects or services. You will bring a strong understanding of equality and diversity as it affects marginalised communities and the role of equality organisations in upholding and advancing rights and inclusion. With a collaborative management style, you will have the ability to develop and inspire your team, while providing strategic direction and solutions for the whole organisation and member DDPOs.

Crucially, you will have a strong personal commitment to the Social Model of Disability and the Cultural Model of Deafness, a good understanding of the discrimination faced by Deaf and Disabled people and a passion for supporting voluntary sector social change organisations.
