Why do people think they can say hateful things online?

We want to know your experience of hate speech on social media so we can campaign to get hate speech stopped and the perpetrators held to account.

Although it is known within our community that online hate speech is targeted at Disabled people there is not much evidence to support this. Evidence is needed to support funding applications for DDPOs to be able to respond to this type of hate crime.

The survey is part of a joint project between Inclusion London and Anglia Ruskin University. It should take between 10 and 15 minutes and you can complete as much or as little of the survey as you wish.

Click here for more information about the survey and how to complete it.

We know that this can potentially be upsetting to relive the experience when completing the survey and we included links in the survey with details of support on offer from various organisations.

If you can help us to gather this evidence, it could lead to further research in this area and some peer support groups for people affected by online hate speech.
