Inclusion London is deeply saddened to hear of the passing away of Sian Vasey, a dedicated and passionate Disabled rights activist.

From her involvement in the Disabled People’s Direct Action Network and the Disability Arts movement, to her more recent campaigning on access to public transport and setting up Ealing Reclaim Social Care Action Group, Sian was a fierce and unrelenting activist who put her all into our movement.

Inclusion London is proud to have worked with her in forming the Ealing Reclaim Social Care Action Group, bringing together a wide range of people from across different movements in Ealing to oppose cuts to packages and the weakening of Disabled people’s right to independent living. Many of us also knew Sian from other campaigns and from working in other social movements – demonstrating her influence and drive in creating a better society for all.
