We want to recruit 3 younger Deaf and Disabled Trustees with intersectional experience
2021 will be an important and exciting year for Inclusion London. We will be working with our DDPO members and partners to develop a vision and plan for what we should be doing over the next 5 years.
Our Board of Trustees play a very important role in our work and in shaping our future direction. We want to make sure our Board reflects the voices and diversity of Deaf and Disabled people who are often not heard, and we want to create opportunities for younger Deaf and Disabled people to develop their leadership skills and experience as Trustees. To do this we want to recruit 3 younger Deaf and Disabled Trustees from Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities and from the LGBTQI community to become Trustees of Inclusion London.
Being a Trustee is an unpaid role lasting 3 years. To carry out the duties and things a Trustee needs, you will need to take part in about 5 Board meetings each year which will take about 20 hours of your time each year. Our new Trustees will receive training and 1-2-1 support from other Inclusion London Trustees.
Closing date for written and video applications is: 5pm on Monday 18 January 2021
Please note: Closing date for Deaf / BSL users only has been extended to Thursday 18 February 2021
