Here you can find information on new sources of funding for DDPOs during the coronavirus crisis – updated November 2020.
London Community Response
The Mayor has announced funds for emergency support to help London’s community and voluntary organisations affected by the impact of the coronavirus. The emergency scheme London Community Response is being coordinated by London Funders and is available to organisations facing immediate financial pressures and uncertainty because of the coronavirus or providing responses and services to people affected by it.
Wave 4 of this funding is now open. Deadline 3rd December.
Grants are available for up to £10,000 to be spent within 6 months of award.
They will fund a very wide range of activities related to navigating the current crisis and are particularly interested in funding DDPOs.
Mayor’s Resilience Fund
Grants of up to£30,000 will be available to support the design and testing of innovations that:
Build digital and data tools to help London emerge from the current crisis, and fare better during future stresses and shocks.
Help small businesses and community organisations to adapt and diversify.
Create positive social change that addresses London’s major stresses – from inequality to food insecurity and poor health and wellbeing.
Pose a challenge to the fund by December 2020. Get matched with tech partners. Apply for a grant to use from Feb 2021 onwards.
Power to Change
The Community Business Renewal Fund provides grants to community businesses in England affected by the Covid-19 crisis to adapt, renew and rebuild their business so they can remain financially viable. The fund is aimed at organisations delivering services in their local community to support those who have been most affected by the Covid-19 crisis. The main priority support areas for the fund include: areas of England facing high levels of deprivation, organisations supporting and led by Disabled people and Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME)-led or BAME-supporting businesses.
What can you apply for?
An unrestricted grant between £10,000 and £20,000 to to support your organisation to adapt and evolve to the changing circumstances, by providing an unrestricted grant that could be used to cover core staffing costs, contribute to meeting capital costs of adapting your community business and ensuring that your community business can continue to provide the vital support to local people.
We have two further rounds in 2021. Each round will have a short application window of 3 hours as we expect a high level of demand.
