Merton Centre for Independent Living
Merton CIL is run and controlled by Deaf and Disabled People for Deaf and Disabled People. We provide advice and advocacy support to Deaf and Disabled People in Merton in the following areas: debt and low income, benefits, health, independent living, community care and housing. We also provide support around Disability Hate Crime
People First (Self Advocacy)
People First is a national organisation run and led by people with learning difficulties. We aim to raise awareness of the rights of people with learning difficulties, develop the skill base of self-advocacy groups and individuals, and make sure that their voices are heard at government policy level.
Stay Safe East
Stay Safe East works to tackle hate crime and harassment, domestic and sexual violence and other forms of abuse against Deaf and disabled people.We support clients to keep safe and move on from abuse. We work to ensure that disabled victims and survivors get justice and resolution, and to change policy and practices.
