Campaigning and research and representation
DASL is an independent charity and Lambeth’s leading pan-impairment Disabled People’s Organisation. We provide a range of high quality information, advice and advocacy, direct payments support and community development services as well as peer-support based activities programmes.
The Disability Hate Crime Network is an unfunded group of disabled people from a range of backgrounds who campaign for greater recognition of the danger of disability hate crime. We also deliver training and advice on Disability Hate Crime to various agencies including police, Crown Prosecution Service, local authorities and academia.
HAFCAC campaigns to help break the link between poverty and disabled/older people. We aim to prevent LBHandF reducing support to residents and charging for services. We work to involve disabled people in local democratic processes such as voting and to set the framework for co-production with our local Council.
