About this organisation
Kingston Upon Thames Association for the Blind also known as KAB, has been supporting blind and partially sighted residents of all ages since 1966. Empowering individuals living with sight loss, to lead independent and fulfilled lives in Kingston upon Thames and the surrounding areas.
We do this through a program of social activities, support groups, workshops, services including:
social lunches, chair based exercises, swimming, cycling, ten pin bowling and indoor bowls. we run Living Well with Sight Loss workshops, provide a form filling and benefit service.
KAB also works to prevent avoidable sight loss by promoting eye health messages to the public at large.
KAB a force for positive change
Staff, Trustees, members and volunteers all work together to make a positive difference in Kingston.
raising awareness of issues and barriers faced by disabled residents, and offer solutions to make Kingston more accessible and a fairer place for people of all ages living with sight loss to play, study, work and live in.
