DEWA is a national organisation run and controlled by Deaf women from Ethnic Minority groups. DEWA provides a range of support and empowers BME Deaf women to have a choice and control, be active and be successful in all aspects of their lives without compromising their identity.
DASL is an independent charity and Lambeth’s leading pan-impairment Disabled People’s Organisation. We provide a range of high quality information, advice and advocacy, direct payments support and community development services as well as peer-support based activities programmes.
Ruils is a user-led charity based in the London Borough of Richmond. We work with the elderly, adults and children with disabilities and long term health and mental health conditions to help them stay independent and connected to their community. We offer advice, advocacy and practical support to enable individuals to have choice and control over the support that they need to live the life of their choice.
Southwark Association for Mental Health is a user-led mental health group that runs campaigns about issues that concern us, often in conjunction with Mental Health Resistance Network; publishes a quarterly magazine Southwark Mental Health News; and supports BME user-led mental health group Kindred Minds which runs peer support groups and is currently in the process of developing a BME mental health user manifesto.
SACI exists to improve the health and mental well-being of people who suffer with social anxiety by enabling them to make positive choices and increasing their quality of life to have better life chances. Activities include therapeutic self help sessions and physical exercises encouraging them to see physical and mental health as intertwined.
