Is the UK complying with the International Convention on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights? – A Deaf and Disabled people’s perspective

Information paper by Inclusion London

The UK is currently the subject of a review by the UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights. The Committee is reviewing the UK’s compliance with the International Convention on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights – an international human rights treaty to which the UK has been a signatory since 1976. The last such review was conducted in 2009.

This information paper was prepared in response to a request for evidence by the UN Committee via Just Fair,[1]  who posed the questions, based on the UN Committee’s List of Issues, which is available at:  http://bit.ly/24M4kV0
