Black Lives Matter
Inclusion London stands in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement
Inclusion London stands in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement and Black, Asian and Minoritised communities here and around the world that continue to experience the intolerable violence and injustice of structural racism and inequality. This is a moment of possibility and as Human Rights organisation we commit to being anti-racist in all that we do. We commit to understanding, addressing the needs and amplifying the voices of Disabled people who experience intersectional exclusion and discrimination and we commit to working in solidarity with our sister user-led BAME organisations fighting for equality and justice.
Action we will take over the next year includes:
- Setting up and supporting an intersectional advisory group of Disabled people who experience intersectional exclusion and discrimination. This group will advise and have oversight of the work of our new ‘ With Us’ project ensuring the project and its resources reflect the intersectional experience and needs of Disabled people
- Working with the intersectional advisory group we will co-produce a programme of specific intersectional work over the next 3 years that will seek to understand and meet the needs , and amplify the voice, of Disabled people who experience intersectional exclusion
- We will work with Disabled staff within DDPOs who experience intersectional exclusion to create dedicated training, support, voice and peer networking opportunities so our sector is better able to support Disabled BAME, LGBTQ+ and women staff.
