ROFA letter to Minister for Disabled People

ROFA have written to Justin Tomlinson, the Minister for Disabled People raising extremely urgent issues in relation to the COVID-19 emergency

Reclaiming our Futures Alliance

Reclaiming Our Futures Alliance (ROFA), a national network of organisations run by and for Disabled people, have sent a letter to Justin Tomlinson, the Minister for Disabled people, raising extremely urgent issues in relation to the COVID-19 emergency.

The ROFA letter urges the Government to engage directly with Deaf and Disabled People Organisations (DDPOs) to agree a long-term National Disability Strategy (NDS), and in the immediate future to provide appropriate emergency support for Deaf and Disabled people during the current health crisis.

The letter covers the following main areas:

  • Social care and personal health budgets
  • Welfare
  • Health
  • Food security
  • Work
  • Disabled children
  • Hate Crime
  • Rights and inclusion
