Feedback to DWP about AtW Workplace assessments
The Access to Work policy team want to learn about your experiences of AtW Workplace Assessments. They want to ask you if AtW Workplace Assessments are useful to people who are deaf or have a hearing loss, and how you think they can be improved for Deaf people.
Access to Work sometimes ask for a Workplace Assessment to be done before an AtW Adviser decides what support someone should have.
A Workplace Assessment is when AtW asks someone to come to your work to talk to you about your job, and then they write a report to AtW to make recommendations about what support you need.
The Access to Work policy team want to learn about your experiences of AtW Workplace Assessments. They want to ask you if AtW Workplace Assessments are useful to people who are deaf or have a hearing loss, and how you think they can be improved for Deaf people. They want to know about your experiences if you use equipment (e.g. listening aids), English at work (e.g. speech to text), or BSL (e.g. interpreters).
They want to invite you to come to the workshop if:
- If you have had a Workplace Assessment after June 2017.
OR
- You have AtW, haven’t had an AtW Workplace Assessment, but think it might be useful, or are worried about them
OR
- You are a young person who has just started or will soon start work.
The workshop will be in London, 1:00-4:00pm on Thursday 13th September in Kennington, London. DWP will refund any travel costs.
