Consultation on action needed by government and employers to reduce job loss

The government is consulting on different ways government and employers can take action to reduce ‘ill health-related job loss’

The government has published a document of proposals aiming to reduce ill-health related job loss, and they are now consulting on the proposals. They state that the aim is to support and encourage early action by employers for their employees with long-term health conditions, and improve access to quality, cost-effective occupational health.
The Department for Work and Pensions and the Department of Health and Social Care say they want to understand the effect of these proposals on:

  • business
  • individuals
  • the occupational health profession

The Deadline for responses is 11.45 pm 7 October 2019
